The Toms River Municipal Utilities Authority was established by Township Ordinance dated April 26, 1949 wherein the purpose of the TRMUA was defined to be “the relief of the waters in and bordering the state from pollution arising from causes within the township and consequent improvement of conditions affecting the public health…”
